Coming off a their first winning season in franchise history the Houston Texans are looking to get out of the shadow of their division rivals, the Indianapolis Colts. The Texans showed a promising pass game along with a newly revived defense with Mario Williams finally living up to his expectations.
The Texans have used their franchise tags for WR Andre Johnson, QB Matt Schaub and DE Mario Williams. The team is young and hungry to make the playoffs this year.
The Texans season opener against the defending AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts was a one sided matchup. The Texans pulled away early in the game when WR Andre Johnson passed the 150 receiving yard mark and chalked up 3 TD`s. "It was simple, we were the better team out there" Andre Johnson said in a post game interview. The Texans open up their season with a bang and believe they have the young and talented team to win their division in 2010. The Texans will travel to Washington next week to face Donovan Mcnabb and the Redskins.
