The Lions, now 2-1, already more wins than they had in the last two seasons combined, have undergone new ownership. The new owner taking over the team has wasted no time in trying to repair and continue rebuilding the team after a slew of releases and depth chart changes. Matthew Stafford is still the starting quarterback but halfback Kevin Smith is already trying to be moved to Tampa Bay as the Lions continue in trade talks with teams around the league. The Lions were dismantled at the hands of Brett Farve and the Vikings 62-17. Fans left the stadium once again, embarrassed though the city of Detroit is quite used to it now when it comes to their disappointment of a football team. With new ownership coming in, perhaps, there is a reason for that dreaded word in Detroit, hope. The Lions take on another division rival in the Green Bay Packers in week 4.
